Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use apply to your use of BPD Companion, including the mobile app, website, and related services. By using BPD Companion, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use BPD Companion. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use BPD Companion only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. You may use the app only if you can legally agree to these Terms.

BPD Companion Purpose

BPD Companion provides wellness and self-help tools for reflection, emotional awareness, emotional regulation, journaling, communication support, reminders, organization, educational content, and related features. Some features may use AI-supported responses, summaries, or insights based on information you provide.

Wellness and Self-Help Disclaimer

BPD Companion is for general wellness, reflection, organization, and self-help. It is not a medical device, therapy provider, healthcare provider, crisis service, or emergency service. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, medical advice, psychiatric advice, medication advice, or professional counseling.

If you may hurt yourself or someone else, or if you are experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately. Do not rely on BPD Companion for emergency support.

User Accounts

You may need an account to use certain features, sync data, access subscriptions, or use community features. You are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and contact support if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable Use

Do not misuse BPD Companion, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, copy or scrape the service, reverse engineer protected parts of the app, upload malicious code, violate the rights of others, harass or harm others, post unlawful or abusive content, or use the app in a way that violates applicable law.

Subscriptions and Purchases

BPD Companion may offer Monthly and Yearly subscription plans, free trials where available, and a Lifetime Membership as a one-time purchase. Prices, features, trial availability, renewal terms, and purchase details are shown in the app or applicable storefront before you buy.

Billing Through Apple and Google

Purchases are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you subscribe or purchase. Apple or Google process payment information and manage storefront billing. BPD Companion uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status, entitlements, purchase restoration, and access to paid features.

Cancellation, Renewal, and Refunds

Monthly and Yearly subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled through the Apple or Google account used to subscribe. Deleting the app does not necessarily cancel a subscription. Cancellation steps, refund availability, and billing disputes are handled under the rules of the applicable storefront. Free trials, when offered, convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends according to the terms shown at checkout.

Lifetime Membership

Lifetime Membership is a one-time purchase for access to the paid BPD Companion features included with that purchase for as long as those features are offered and supported in the app, subject to these Terms and the storefront rules that apply to your purchase.

Restore Purchases

If you reinstall the app, change devices, or need to reconnect a purchase, use Restore Purchases in the app while signed into the same Apple or Google account used for the original purchase. Restoration depends on the applicable storefront and purchase records.

Intellectual Property

BPD Companion, including its name, logo, design, text, software, features, and other content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the app for your personal, lawful use. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, sell, or exploit the app or its content except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the information you enter, the choices you make based on app content, and your use of any wellness, communication, reminder, medication, appointment, community, or AI-supported feature. Medication and appointment tools are for organization only and do not replace professional medical advice.

Service Availability and Changes

We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. BPD Companion may be unavailable from time to time because of maintenance, outages, store issues, service-provider issues, or other operational reasons.

Disclaimer of Warranties

BPD Companion is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability. We do not guarantee that the app will meet your needs, be uninterrupted, be error-free, or produce any particular outcome.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, BPD Companion and its owners, operators, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, or emotional distress arising from or related to your use of the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of this section may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using BPD Companion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or the service, or if we discontinue part or all of the app. Subscription cancellation and refunds remain subject to the applicable storefront rules.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of BPD Companion after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing and Contact

These Terms apply to your use of BPD Companion subject to applicable law and any mandatory rights you may have where you live.
